Bokel Building

509 Vine Street

The Boekel building was built in 1924 by Bokel Industries, as a sheet metal fabrication factory in Old City Philadelphia. The 6-story concrete construction was used by the company until 1988, after which a 10 year vacancy left the building in a state of disrepair. The renovation of the 70,000 sq/ft Building, into studios and apartments was long overdue. The scope of work entailed upgrading the building to conform to all building codes and fully restoring the facade as well as replacing all systems, elevators and repairing of failed structural elements.
